Please Save My Eye

Save my eye       Hi, my name is Marychele Camu ,i have three daughters yessenia, natasha and penelope,my eldest yessenia is 9yrs old and has been diagnosed with Uveitis ,this is a condition in which the eye becomes inflamed and causes a membrane to form over the eye. It looks like an all white contact lens, similar to what glaucoma looks like.     I noticed this when she was 6 yrs of age, it started with a small white cloud over her pupil. When we took her to see a pediatrician who then referred her to a specialist for cataracts, the specialist thought it was a rare case of child cataracts,he suggested surgery, it was useless, he then referred us to a glaucoma specialist. She has been threw 6 surgeries ,and it seems to help but the membrane keeps coming back.   This a very heart breaking situation, i cry many nights on end because of the impotence i feel, i recall having to inject my daughter with humira ,its a very strong medication that would leave a burning sensation in the area it was injected in. Yessenia would cry and beg me not to inject her with humira but i was doing with hope it would help her. As a result of this medication, my daughter went from eating 5 to 6 Times a day to barely eating twice a day. She became very withdrawn. She was a shadow of herself. She has to wear sunglasses when ever we are out, because kids will usually stare and point, or simply make fun of her if her eye isn't covered,also because it becomes easily irritated.    Ive recently joined a forum online that has parents dealing with similar cases , parents who's kids have gotten care and are now med free.   We have found the best doctor that will hopefully help yessenia with this condition.  His name is Doctor Charles Foster and he specializes in uveitis, unfortunately he is in cambridge Massachussets and is affiliated with Mersi hospital.  We live in queens, ny and they are not able to take our insurance.  So we are asking any little help that we can get to help pay what ever treatment, surgery and medications she might  need.  Eventually when she turns 10 or 11 she will be able to qualify for cosmetic lense for her right eye.
