Melissa's Fight: The Sequel
Donation protected
In 2018 my beautiful sister Melissa kicked cancer. At the time she was one of the youngest cases Dr Walsh had treated for cholangiocarcinoma. She spent 11 hours in surgery for a Whipple procedure and then underwent months of chemotherapy.

In August 2023 we celebrated her birthday early, a pink barbie lunch. On August 29 she was back in the doctors office to hear that she would be undergoing surgery to remove her pancreas. The surgery found a mass and confirmed it was pancreatic cancer.
She is learning to live with type 1 diabetes and monitor her blood sugars every day.
After she had recovered enough from surgery she began chemotherapy. Recently her chemo was paused. Her counts are not great and the doctors want to reasses. The new plan is to start radiation therapy in the coming weeks.
If you are able to give, all donations will go towards insulin, other supplies to manage her blood sugar, gas and insurance to travel to her many medical appointments, paying bills and putting healthy food in her fridge.
Our entire family is grateful for the kindness and support of our friends and community.
