On Monday, January 16th, my mom, Samantha Nassif, collapsed at Shaws in Saco. They immediately called the ambulance which ultimately saved her life. Her boss, Ron Vance, was her last phone contact and he was able to connect medical personnel and family. He was also able to accompany her in the ambulance.
After initial testing they were able to determine that she had suffered from a massive brain aneurysm. They were able to perform a life saving procedure by stopping further bleeding by filling the aneurysm with a platinum coil. She is currently in CTICU at Maine Medical Center and is expected to remain there for 2-3 weeks and then into a rehabilitation center. She is currently able to move her left side only and has followed a few minor commands.
The doctors are anticipating a long recovery and she will be unable to return to work for a very long time, if at all. Your prayers, thoughts or contributions will be greatly appreciated.
