On June 18, 2019, Roman Boiko was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, a specific form of leukemia. According to the medical doctors, this type of cancer will require a mandatory bone marrow transplant, which will cost more than $100,000. Unfortunately, this surgery is not done in Ukraine but out of the country. For him and his family, this is a very large sum of money and even if they were to sell everything they own, they would still not have enough to cover the cost of surgery.

Roman Ivanovich Boiko is 25 years of age, and lives in Ukraine with his father, Ivan, his mother, Antonina, as well as a younger sister named Ivanka. In his childhood, he was a very active boy, who was involved in sports, and studied very well in school. During the beginning of his school years, his parents came to know God. Soon after, Roman began attending “Grace” church, with his parents, in the city of Varash (Kuznetsovsk). After he graduated high school, he attended the University in Kiev, where he earned an honorary degree in engineering. In the last year, he has been working in his field of major.

At this moment, he is responsible for the teenage ministry in his church. He also takes an active part in the church’s services, such as preaching, singing in the choir and organizing children’s events. He is also sensitive and attentive to the problems of those around him and is always ready to help when needed, never expecting anything in return.

Молодому хлопцю Роману 18 червня 2019 року поставили страшний діагноз - рак крові особливої форми, з обов‘язковою пересадкою кісткового мозку...Таку операцію в Україні не роблять і вона дорого коштує, більше $100 тисяч. Для сім‘ї це дуже велика сума, навіть якщо продадуть усе, що мають, всеодно не зможуть зібрати потрібної суми...

Бойко Роман Іванович народився 4 червня 1994 року (25 років) у невіруючій (на той час) сім‘ї Івана і Тоні, має меншу сестричку Іванку. З дитинства був дуже активним, займався спортом, гарно вчився. У його шкільні роки спочатку прийшли до Бога батьки, а згодом і Роман, відразу долучившись до служіння в церкві. Закінчив гімназію і університет з відзнакою, і вже майже рік працює на РАЕС.

На данний момент є відповідальним за підліткове служіння у церкві «Благодать», м. Вараш (Кузнецовськ). Також бере активну участь у соціальних служіннях церкви.
Відповідальний, чуйний до проблеми ближнього і завжди готовий прийти на допомогу, хороший брат і слухняний син.
