Battling Cancer

Dear family, friends and extended communities,


We’re reaching out on behalf of our cousin Erik B. Aguirre, who was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer, which has metastasized to his lymph nodes and bones. Erik is currently in good spirits preparing for this fight. 


Erik is a fighter who has constantly battled medical maladies such as asthma and a detached retina that has caused him to lose his eyesight in one eye. This is no different, Erik has already started chemotherapy and rehabilitation therapy. Upon discharge, Erik will be moving in with his family to battle this cancer surrounded and supported by loved ones.


These past couple of years, Erik had been nurturing his body, mind and soul by returning to school to study history and Archeology with the hopes of one day becoming a professor and sharing his knowledge and passion for learning. Despite his lack of eyesight he really enjoyed riding his bike to the beach, exploring the city, and spending time with loved ones. With his family’s permission we are creating this GoFundMe account and we kindly ask you to donate. 


We do not know what the future will hold for Erik, but this is an effort to raise monetary funds to help sustain Erik as we know the overwhelming costs of medical, home care, alternative therapies, homeopathic remedies, clinical trials, vitamins, supplements, transportation and general day-to-day expenses.
