Hello,
My name is Lisa, and Eileen Wolf is my mother. Many of you have heard, but for those who don't know, my mother is gravely ill. It isn't known how long she has been ill because, being the proud woman she is, she didn't tell anyone; she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the liver and lungs in October of this year. She also suffered a stroke at that time, and now the cancer has spread to her brain. Where she once was lively, chatty and bright, she is now quiet and confused. I wanted to bring her home to Canada to be with me, but unfortunately, the state of her health made this impossible. I moved her out of her home and into a nursing home in Kingston in November to provide her with the care she needed. I continue to monitor her care from Canada as best I can.
My mother is a passionate, warm, fierce, kind and loving person who is known to take care of others and be their safe place to land. I know her as an amazing mom who showed us that as young women, there was no mountain we couldn't climb and nothing we couldn't achieve. She demonstrated this time and time again with her work with the Toastmasters Community and the many professional accolades she has achieved over the years. Those who know her will also know she is a proud person who is reluctant to ask for help. She now needs help, and I am asking on her behalf. Her nursing costs and medical expenses are high. I am doing my best to cover them for her and take care of her, but she needs more help than I can provide. Any little bit is helpful to go towards the nursing, medical, and incidental costs. It is much appreciated. If love and prayers are all that can be given, they are more than welcomed. We are grateful for your support.
