Michelle's Medical Fund

As most of my close friends know, I recently lost my job, and with it all health benefits.  Without health coverage I am now in the position to pay for all medical expenses out of pocket. My blood disease(hemochromatosis) requires regular visits to the cancer center in Truckee for treatment, which is very expensive.  The disease attacks the heart and the liver and cannot got untreated for any length of time.  That was the case with my Mom and was what ultimately caused her to pass.
I am not one to ask for help and hate to be in a position that I need to do so.  I have explored options for interim state assistance(as I hope to find employment quickly) but found out yesterday that it could take 8 or more weeks. 
McKenzie and I are grateful for the wonderful support that we have had over the years from friends and family and would be forever indebted for any assistance that could be given here.
