My name is Samuel Watkins. I’m raising funds to help pay for medical expenses I have incurred since I was first diagnosed with cancer in 2008. Up to this point, I paid all the expenses out-of-pocket that were not covered by insurance. This has put my family and me in significant financial hardship. I have to drive over two hours one way to seek treatment multiple times a month. I made 56 trips to Jackson, Mississippi from my home in 2024. Jackson is over two hours away one way. My cancer started off in my prostate and has now spread into my bones. As a result of this cancer, I have to see multiple specialists on a very frequent basis. The infusions I have been prescribed are now over $80,000 apiece. I have to pay what the insurance does not cover. Thus far, I’ve had to have three infusions and there are three more to come. I have to be quarantined after each infusion due to the fact it is nuclear medicine.
