Hi everyone,

My mom, Malou, was diagnosed with HER2-positive Breast Cancer. She is in the hospital right now. They found out that she has malignant cells in her left breast. It was metastasizing to her right breast, spine and affected her lungs and bones. 

She has a case of Complete Lower Extremity Paralysis secondary to Spinal Cord Compression secondary to Metastatic Bone Disease from Recurrent Breast Cancer Stage IV. 

On top of this, she is also battling pneumonia while being severely immunocompromised.

Recently, doctors also discovered a tumor in her head, adding even more complexity and fear to her already devastating condition.

Due to the above conditions, she is not able to perform activities of daily living and is highly dependent on caregivers. She will be requiring full-time care throughout the remaining days of her life.

She needs 17 chemo cycles, surgery and radiation therapy.

She is currently living in the Philippines with my younger brother and needs surgery ($5,000) as soon as possible. She needs chemotherapy 5 cycles that will cost ($4,265 each) and 12 cycles ($575 each) + radiation therapy.

This has been really hard for me to start, I've always been reluctant to borrow or ask for help of any kind because I never wanted to feel like a burden to other people, but I can't do this on my own and I'm sorry.

My mom has been our father, mother, and best friend through the years and she was our rock. She is a very strong woman that I look up to and has always supported me with anything I wanted to do in life.

She has never given up on me as I never will for her. I really wanted to be there with her however I need to work as much as I can and give everything I can to help support her treatment.

It's been really hard on my physical, emotional, and mental health as well trying to work as much as I can but I can't imagine the pain she is in right now. Everyday I'm afraid that her condition might get worse. It is also taking a huge toll on my younger brother that sees our mom suffer everyday.

I understand that these times are hard for everyone and a lot of us are suffering but if you are able to help me and my mom, I would be very grateful. Prayers are also a big help, not just monetary. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me and helping me in any way possible. I am praying for everyone as well.
