On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m officers were dispatched to the area of Poppy Avenue and California Avenue regarding a shooting. Despite life saving efforts, my twin brother, 24 year old Faustino Mancilla, was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.

Faustino was a victim of homicide someone chose to take his life, and our family is left heartbroken, searching for justice and peace. He had just turned 24 on October 25th. He was so young, full of dreams, and determined to build a better future for himself and his loved ones.

My brother was a hardworking man who always talked about doing his best at his job and growing from it. He had a kind heart, a big smile, and a deep love for his family. But more than anything, he loved his 3-year-old daughter, who now faces a world without her father. Her birthday is next month a day that should be filled with joy, but now will be marked by loss.

Our family is devastated by this tragedy. The pain of losing a son, a brother, and a father so suddenly is something no words can fully express. We are raising funds to help with Faustino’s funeral and burial expenses during this unimaginable time.

Any donation, no matter how small, means the world to us. It helps us give my brother the proper goodbye he deserves and supports his daughter as she grows up without her dad.

El miércoles 29 de octubre de 2025 aproximadamente a las 6:45 p.m., los oficiales respondieron al área de Poppy Avenue y California Avenue debido a un tiroteo. A pesar de los esfuerzos por salvarle la vida, mi hermano gemelo Faustino Mancilla de 24 años fue trágicamente declarado fallecido en el lugar.

Faustino fue víctima de un homicidio y nuestra familia está destrozada buscando justicia y paz. Acababa de cumplir 24 años el 25 de octubre. Era joven, lleno de sueños y con muchas ganas de salir adelante para construir un mejor futuro para él y para su familia.

Mi hermano era un hombre trabajador. Siempre hablaba de esforzarse al máximo en su trabajo y de seguir creciendo. Tenía un gran corazón, una sonrisa hermosa y un amor profundo por su familia. Pero sobre todo amaba a su hija de 3 años, quien ahora tendrá que crecer sin su papá. El próximo mes será su cumpleaños, una fecha que debería estar llena de alegría pero que ahora estará marcada por su ausencia.

Nuestra familia está viviendo un dolor inmenso. Perder a un hijo, un hermano y un padre de manera tan repentina es algo que no se puede describir con palabras. Estamos recaudando fondos para ayudar con los gastos del funeral y el sepelio de Faustino durante este momento tan difícil.

Cualquier donación por pequeña que sea significa mucho para nosotros. Nos ayudará a darle a mi hermano la despedida que se merece y a brindar apoyo a su hijita que ahora crecerá sin su padre.
