Help William Get Life-Saving Heart Surgery
Donation protected
William has been diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)—a genetic heart condition that causes the heart muscle to thicken, making it harder for blood to flow. This condition is often difficult to detect, and in William’s case, it is severe. Doctors have determined that he has a 10% chance of sudden cardiac death at any moment if left untreated.
The Surgery That Can Save His Life
To correct this, William needs a Septal Myectomy, a specialized open-heart surgery that will remove the thickened part of his heart muscle so his heart can function properly. He has been approved and scheduled for surgery at a specialist facility in Minnesota on April 30th, where doctors experienced in treating this rare condition will perform the procedure.
The Financial Challenge
Although William has insurance, the clinic is out of network, meaning he will need to cover his $9,000 deductible and half of the surgery cost out of pocket. Additionally, travel expenses for both William and his girlfriend, including flights and lodging, add to the financial strain.
How You Can Help
This fundraiser aims to help with these urgent costs, ensuring that William gets the care he needs without the added stress of overwhelming medical bills.
Any contribution will go directly toward covering travel, medical expenses, and post-surgery recovery costs.
William has a beautiful little family, and their love and support are what keep him pushing forward.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings him one step closer to a healthy future. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page would be just as meaningful.
Thank you for your support.
