Support Genesis' Battle Against Leukemia

In December 2023, my world turned upside down when my daughter, Genesis, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) after initially being misdiagnosed with flu-like symptoms. Since that heartbreaking day, she has endured a year of intensive chemotherapy, brain radiation treatments, countless hospital visits, and unimaginable challenges — all with a strength beyond her years.

She spent her 10th birthday in the hospital, celebrating between treatments instead of at home surrounded by friends and family. On top of fighting for her health, Genesis is currently on a hybrid school schedule — trying to regain some sense of normalcy while balancing doctor appointments, treatments, and her education.

Due to recent changes at the federal and state levels, Medicaid has reinstated strict eligibility and renewal requirements. This shift has caused massive delays and disruptions in healthcare coverage for millions of families across the country, including ours. Although I am currently in the process of renewing my daughter’s Medicaid coverage, the system is overwhelmed and the process has become slow, complicated, and uncertain. As a result, despite her eligibility, I have been forced to pay out-of-pocket for her critical medical care during this gap. The impact of these policy changes has placed an additional, heavy burden on families like mine who are already fighting unimaginable battles.

Although the financial burden is overwhelming, giving up is not an option. Every donation will help cover:
