This is the last thing I wanted to do, I'm not the kind of guy who asks for help easily. After looking at every other avenue I could, I determined this would be something that could help me in ways that words could not describe.
I am about to start on round two of my cancer journey. I have been cancer free for the past three years, but recently I have been notified it has come back in another area and more intense. In the next few weeks, I will be undergoing a surgery to remove the cancer that has been building in the left side of my face. I will unfortunately be loosing my left eye in the process. After the surgery I will be undergoing chemo therapy. It will be a challenging period, but I'm ready to fight this head on and beat it.
It was discovered after I had a surgery to remove my teeth, which had deteriorated beyond repair from the radiation treatment I received for tonsil cancer in 2016. Once I complete surgery and chemo therapy, I will be able to get some new teeth.
I have private insurance that will help pay for some of my treatment, but it will not cover all the treatment cost, or the cost of my new teeth. I can't tell you what it would mean to me to receive this financial help, other then to say it would be life changing. It will allow me to focus on just the battle that lies ahead, and allow me to come out of this standing up. God bless you all, and I will keep you posted as treatment progresses.
Love,
Scott
