One of the greatest families I know- and I am fortunate and blessed to call them family.
Steve Hatch was diagnosed with a lung disease in October of 2014 called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Since being diagnosed, Steve's spirit and faith has never broken. Despite being on oxygen since his diagnosis- Steve has not let this hinder his passions and love of life.
Nothing could prevent him from taking a trip with his family to see his favorite boys Justin and Casey in Arizona. Golf and fun was on their agenda and that was accomplished!
His daughter, Jordan and son in law Troy had his first grandson Charlie. The pride and love he has for his children and now grandchild shines bright.
To spend time with Steve, his beautiful wife Joanie, and their children is always an adventure. They have discovered the secret to a happy life by opening their hearts and homes to everyone they meet. No one is ever a stranger.
Steve Hatch has a beautiful heart that is not easily forgotten. Whether he is watching sports with friends or buying pizza for everyone in the airport- he brings joy that can only bring happiness to your heart.
His work ethic cannot go unnoticed. As the Director of Buildings and Grounds, St. Peter's Church always looks wonderful and you can feel the love he puts in his work. Of course always with a smile!
This journey he is on, has brought new challenges. 2 1/2 months ago he was placed on a lung transplant list. On Monday June 1st prayers were answered and he had a successful lung transplant with his family by his side.
All of your prayers have been felt and continue to help this process.
This is when we need to pull together to help alleviate some of the financial burden so we can keep Steve smiling and on a healthy lung path. Please help reach this goal! Since we all wish there was something we could do to help- this is it! We need to come together as a community to praise God for the good work He continues to do and to help in the fight.
