Hi y'all, today I'm coming to you all with hope in my heart. My mom, Athena Kuintzle, was hospitalized on November 22 for a stroke. She is fighting to get back to herself. She was finally released from the ICU recently, but she is still in the recovery stage in a regular room at the hospital in UC Davis. I'm struggling to be here with her as things continue to give her challenges. I want to support my mom and be her best advocate. However, it is becoming too costly. I'm hopeful for any help y'all can offer. Donations will be going to help keep our family together during this hard time, as my brothers and I are taking turns being with her to keep her spirits up. Any other donations will be helping me with preparing to bring her home as things are going to be very different for her.

Mom is going to be having another surgery on Monday to give her a more permanent feeding tube in hopes it will help her go home soon, as she has lost the ability to swallow. The stroke impacted her whole right side, and she is slowly regaining feeling.
