Name Tharcisse Rusindo He was 59 years old. His death was an unexpected death.
-My family and I need your help, please .
-My name is Betoel Mpawerimans, son of Tharcisse Rusindo who died unexpectedly on July 3rd, 2020 at 3 p.m he was 59 years old.
-My father passed away unexpectedly after complications with high blood pressure.
-He leaves behind his wife Hacima, 2 step sons: myself and Sabimana as well as 6 younger siblings: Laimon, Enock, Raibon, Yohani, Laberate, and baby sister Furuha.
-We came as refugees to the USA 5 years ago. My father was the only one working to take care of our family. We have had a hard time adjusting. We have had to move a lot and were evicted and were homeless for a few months. My father had just settled in a job and was making ends meet.
-My father was born in Burundi and we all resided in Tanzania in a refugee camp before coming to the USA.
-I just graduated high school this 2020 and I am registered for college.
-My siblings all attend local schools, except for my 1-year-old sister. The school has been a challenge for us as we didn’t have continuous schooling back in my country. My mother is a stay at home mom and is not employed.
-We are very heartbroken to lose our father. Our hearts cannot comprehend how he is just not here anymore. WE MISS HIM. He used to ask us kids to follow him places as we don't have transportation. We would walk everywhere with him. To cash his check, to buy money orders to pay rent, to buy groceries and so many other memories. Today, we cannot follow him but we will continue to follow his steps as he pressed on despite the hardships of being in a new country and having to learn everything. He instilled in us faith, my siblings go to North Phoenix Baptist Church and we will hold on to that faith he showed us.
-He was very caring and loving and such a committed husband. Although he was hard on us and a disciplinary now I understand he wanted the best for us in this country. Back in our country, we had to sell beans or vegetables to pay to go to school as young as in kindergarten. He would often remind us of how blessed we are to be in the USA now. In his memory, we will work hard and strong as a family. The emptiness we feel now is the worst feeling we could ever know but God will sustain us and make a way.
-He was the only one working in our family. We do not have any money for burial. At this moment we are seeking funding for his funeral service from our friends and family.
-I hope you find it in your heart to help us raise funds for my father's funeral services. We want to continue the dream of being in this country and make him proud. We will not give up! Myself and my brothers will continue school and will have to work to pay our bills. We know that without him many things will change.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
