I am raising money in order to help pay for the entry fee for PGA Tour China Qualifying tournament on March 2-7th, as well as help with the travel expense to get there. The past 2 years I have spent my time practicing, playing in mini tour events, and caddying to help make ends meet. Most of my tournaments have been self funded, and I have not had quite the opportunity as other players with large sponsorships. My recent results show that I can compete at the next level if given the right opportunity.
As of now, I have someone willing to help with travel expenses after I make it through qualifying. However, with my current obligations I cannot afford to pay for the qualifying entry fee and plane ticket, both of which need to be purchased soon. If I am able to raise this amount to get things started, I would be good to go for the rest of the season.
I believe that PGA Tour China is the right path for me to ultimately reach the PGA Tour. A contribution of any amount would help to make this opportunity possible for me, and I would greatly appreciate your willingness to support my career journey.
If given the opportunity to play the season, I will make sure to give updates on my progress, and plan to put together a couple of videos documenting the experience.
Achievements that I believe show that I am prepared for this opportunity:
College:
-NCAA Division II All American
-Set program record with 70.83 Senior season scoring average
-Golfstat ranked top 75 college golfers in the country 2017 (all divisions)
Professional:
-2017 SwingThought Tour 69.88 Scoring Average (6 events)
-#14 in 2017 SwingThought (formerly Hooters) Tour National Series order of merit
Recent Results (since Summer 2019)
-36 hole SwingThought event at Bermuda Run T8 (67-70)
-Open Golf Atlanta at Chestatee 1st (67)
-Prequalifier for PGA Tour Barbasol Championship 67
-36 hole SwingThought in Lexington KY T7 (68-68)
-Monday Qualifier for Barbasol Championship 66
-Open Golf Atlanta at Georgia Club 1st (66)
-Open Golf Atlanta Season Long Order of Merit 6th
-Florida Professional Tour Riviera Open 2nd (67-63)
Recent results are limited due to not playing a lot of tournaments in 2019 due to self funding. I think that if given the chance to play a full season on PGA China, my consistent play will show over time, and I would ideally be able to move forward to the PGA KF Tour next season.
Thank you for your time and consideration, here's to a happy and successful 2020!
