Hello, I’m Chad & I’ve had the absolute worst year. Both my cars were crushed on January 6 by a tree, and Burbank city has denied my claim to repair them. I had to repair my old Honda because the Camry was then subsequently totaled while I was sitting in it, hit by a drunk driver. One of my Cats died on Valentine’s Day, My ferret in June. Two weeks ago my cat cut herself on broken glass. Cost me 1138$ at the vet. She’s doing ok, but we’re living in a hoarder situation. Boxes to the ceiling, & no working kitchen.

Fast forward to today, holiday weekend after Thanksgiving, trying to be grateful, trying to have a good time, and on the way home, the head gasket blew, and the car is now dead. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I commute to LA for work from Fullerton & I really need some help. I would gladly take a loaner car or a temporary car. But what we need is a good down payment & help with registration.

I know people are struggling & this is a lot to ask. I’m literally homeless. I already spent $5400 fixing this car this year. I just am lost. My wife works in Burbank, & we are sleeping on a twin bed. All my stuff is in storage & I’m extremely embarrassed to ask for help. We are good people & we don’t deserve this. We have been trying for months to save the money to fix the car. It’s 22 years old, 160,000 miles; it was a great car for a long time.
