Hi everyone! We have currently been in LeBonheur Children’s hospital for almost 2 months. Sawyer was in the PICU & on a ventilator for a total of 30 days, including being extubated & then reintubated. He was sent down to surgery to get a trach but was extubated & did amazing so we were discharged a week after being extubated & brought back by ambulance the next day for him going into respiratory distress. We are seeking to get a second opinion on him & to also get different doctors on board in Nashville, Tennessee (Vanderbilt Children’s) pending insurance approval. LeBonheur is wanting to do a trach but we want to give Sawyer the absolute best chance before putting him through a major surgery & recovery like that . We would greatly appreciate anything you could donate to help with our expenses we have that include: travel, food, missing work, etc. Please share our story. Thanks everyone!
