My Niece, Destynie, broke her back playing sports earlier this year and is having to have surgery, June 9th. She has to be at the hospital at 830. Surgery will start approx 10am, will take 2.5-3 hrs. What they are doing: 2 incisions in the back, 1on the right and left side of the spine, cutting a Square out of the left side vertebrae to rebuild her disc, taking bone marrow out of the hip to put in the rebuilt disc then shell have 2 bolts on each side connecting the vertebrae ... Hopefully just 1 night in the hospital maybe 2 depending on pain.
