Support Lisa's Battle Against Cancer

My name is Jamie Rushing and I’m helping my best friend, Lisa Wilkerson, organize a Gofundme page to help with medical expenses during this very difficult time in her life. The funds raised will be going directly to Lisa. Lisa has been having some health concerns for a while, but her cancer diagnosis came a few months ago, after she developed consistent and severe stomach pain. After lab work and multiple scans, Lisa was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Her cancer is very advanced and has already spread throughout her abdomen and to multiple other organs and locations in her body. Unfortunately, she has not been able to work for several months now, and this will only continue as she prepares for intense chemotherapy treatments for the next several months. The goal is to significantly shrink as many of the tumors as possible, then hopefully she will undergo extensive surgery to remove as many tumors as possible. The funds raised on her behalf will help support her during this difficult time. It will help cover medical expenses, travel costs, hotel stays, and anything else she needs during her treatment and recovery.

Anyone who knows or has even met Lisa, knows she has a heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone with no expectation of reciprocation. She is a devoted wife, mother to two beautiful children, beloved mother-in-law, and a Mimi to the two little lights of her life.
