My "bruncle" Dan was recently laid off and was just diagnosed with cancer. The prognosis at this time is not very bright. He and his wife have no family in Phoenix - I'm the closest family, literally and figuratively. They need help and need to know they are not alone. I need to be with them while Dan begins testing and treatment. This is all very sudden and plane tickets, along with the added costs of being there, is not something we can afford.
