Donate to Ichy's Medical Bills

Hi all - my name is Grace and I am Ichy's mom.

For those of you that don't know, Ichy (AKA Ichabod) is an 8-year old cat who has more health problems than any animal I know. I adopted him knowing that he had FIV, a chronic upper respiratory infection, infected teeth that needed to be removed, and other small issues here and there ... but it wasn't until about six months later that I learned he had kidney disease. While it seemed manageable at first, about a year later, he has progressed to stage four kidney disease. I was (and am) devastated. I am working very closely with his vet to maintain and slow down the progression of the disease. He's on a prescription diet, fluids, supplements, probiotics, etc. He isn't in any pain, nor has his behavior changed one bit. So trust me when I say that I am doing everything I can!

He has already seen the vet (well, several vets) at least a dozen times this year, and I have spent thousands of dollars on his care. While it is exhausting, I wouldn't change a thing. Ichy is my best friend, and I will continue to give him the very best medical care for the rest of his life. With that being said, it's been hard to keep up with vet bills. I am a 22 year old fresh out of college who just started a new job and signed a new lease for my first apartment. Money is already tight, not to mention the hundreds of dollars (at the very least) that I am spending on Ichy every month.

Over the past year-ish, a few of his TikTok followers have asked me to set up a GoFundMe to help with his medical care. I had thought about it, but did not want to give anyone the impression that I was begging for money and/or was an irresponsible pet owner. However, after giving it some more thought, I figured I'd give it a shot! You all have shown Ichy SO much love online, and it has been an honor to share him with you.

Please do not feel obligated to donate anything - Ichy and I always appreciate thoughts and prayers, too. But if you are willing and able to help, it would mean the absolute world to us both.
