Official Haacaaluu Hundessaa Memorial Fund
On June 29th, 2020 our life shattered as we learned of the tragic assassination of Haacaaluu Hundessaa. Haacaaluu Hundessaa is a prominent Oromo singer, that captured the Oromo struggle. His music electrified the voice of a generation. Through his music, he advocated for freedom and the rights of Oromo’s in Ethiopia. He empowered and inspired the youth to demand justice and basic human rights. He was taken from us to end the hopes of freedom, however, his light ignited far more than what they took. His life was larger than they could ever imagine.
Haacaaluu left behind a wife and three kids. We should garner around his family at this time and help support his loved ones. This fund will go to support Haacaaluu’s family. He gave his life for the liberation of his people, we can honor him by ensuring that we help taking care of his family. Please give what you can and share the page with family and friends.
