Moms Medical Expenses after Cancer

Donation protected
Hello.
My mom - Debi App, has had and is still having some  unfortunate hardships. We are looking for some help in these trying times.

Here is her story.
I was an active, healthy woman, who never smoked, drank or did drugs. I exercised regularly, did all my yard work myself and ate my greens. I was looking forward to being a second time grandma. In the last week of December in 2009 I received bad news and was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

I had a right breast lymphectomy with lymph nodes removed and was diagnosed with Stage 2B Ductal Carcinoma with necrotic tissue. I had painful lymphodemia twice, which had to be drained from the surgical area where the lymph nodes had been removed.

I figure I would have radiation therapy after a lymphectomy, but wasn't prepared when I was told at my follow-up I would need to undergo 4 1/2 months of chemotherapy and then eventually 33 1/2 radiation treatments. I ended up in the hospital after my first chemo treatment due to neutrophils falling below 1.0.

Because of chemo I had many side effects; I lost over 35 pounds, I had painful shingles after my 3rd treatment (which I still get nerve pain in that same area every now and then). My gums and teeth were pretty much destroyed, I had blisters in my mouth and down my throat. And to add to it all I ended up weak, with some acute pain, and a sensitivity to light, smells and sounds.

After it all I loss my home (which i had owned for years) due to not being able to work. After chemo and radiation finished and finally was able to see a dentist and I was diagnosed with a peri-dontal cyst in my right sinus cavity. After the cyst was removed and my gumline healed and after the bone grew back, I was left with loose, dead yellowed teeth and teeth hanging below the gumline on my top teeth. Because of no money I had to wait a while to see a dentist. After x-rays were done, I was sent to see an oral surgeon who will be doing a biopsy on upper right gum. Suspects it is not a peridontal cyst, but an ongoing infection and or an Odontogenic Myxoma tumor, which I would need reconstruction of the bone. It looks like I will have to have all my upper teeth removed, because none are worth saving.

I am looking for help so I can get back on my feet, pay my medical bills, and pay for the reconstruction surgery on my teeth. Plus, not be homeless because I am not able to work much at this time.

Thank you so much for your support.
Debi App.
