Hi all,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the story of our beloved one-year-old cocker spaniel, Jackson. Recently, we received the heartbreaking news that he has been diagnosed with medial patellar luxation. Our veterinarian has informed us that due to the severity of his condition, Jackson will require surgery to prevent any long-term damage to his knee and joint.
We initially sought assistance from the PDSA, hoping they could provide the necessary care; however, they do not offer this specific surgery. As a result, we have returned to our local vet, where we have been quoted approximately £2,500-£3,000 for the surgery alone. Additionally, we will need to budget for an x-ray costing around £400-£500. This estimate does not include pain relief or follow-up appointments and physiotherapy that will be essential for his recovery.
Jackson is a high-energy dog who deserves a fulfilling life free from pain and limitations. We are urgently seeking your support to help cover these unexpected medical expenses. Any contribution you can make will go directly towards Jackson's surgery and aftercare costs. We promise to provide all receipts for transparency. Any funds raised but not be used will be donated to Dog Trust.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering helping us in this difficult time.
Thanks
