The Little Soul Who Changed Our World

Minnie came into our lives unexpectedly back in April, when someone on Instagram was giving her away. I didn’t know her story, I didn’t know her past… but the moment I saw her little face, I knew she was meant for us. She walked into our home and instantly became family.

Minnie is more than a dog she is pure love in fur. She greets every morning with joy, loves being outside feeling the breeze on her face, and her whole body wiggles when she sees her best friend, Draco the German Shepherd. Watching her and Draco play is one of the sweetest parts of our week. She has brought happiness, calm, and comfort into our lives in ways I can’t even explain.

On Monday, December 8th, everything changed. Minnie suddenly became extremely sick vomiting white foam, shaking, refusing food and water, and passing liquid blood. My heart dropped. We rushed her for emergency care, then to her regular vet, and have been trying everything we can to help her.

The next step is getting an X-ray to find out whether she will need surgery.

And that’s where my heart breaks the most… because without help, I may have to surrender her just so she can receive the medical care she needs to survive.

Minnie finally has a home where she is loved, safe, spoiled, and cherished. She finally has a family. She deserves to stay where her little tail wags the hardest. Letting her go, even for the right reasons would shatter us.

I am humbly asking for help to keep Minnie with the people who love her endlessly. Anything you’re able to give brings us one step closer to giving her the treatment she needs… and keeping her home where she belongs.

Update: Due all donations I received Minnie was able to get her X-ray and bloodwork. She also started antibiotics. Minnie is good spirits. We are taking it day by day. Thank you to all that have donated to make this possible.
