Leigh Ann & Sarah's Disney Vacation

Leigh Ann and Sarah both moms of little girls had never met one another but both had always dreamed of taking their daughters to Disney World.  Unknowingly, both saw a great deal for a Disney vacation posted on facebook by a local travel agent and both contacted the agent to purchase.  Leigh Ann and Sarah had never met before in their lives but in late May, their lives crossed paths as both realized they had be scammed out of $2,000 each for Disney trips that they booked for their families but the agent took their money and never booked the trip.  Both families were to leave on June 7th and 10 days before their trip realized that nothing was booked!

After a few phone calls to Disney, the local Chamber of Commerce and the Ligonier police, it was clear that their agent had taken the money and ran with it!  Leigh Ann, a single mom, had to go home after filing the police report and tell her 6 year old daughter that she was not going to Disney to celebrate her birthday.  Devastated by the news, her daughter cried and doesn't understand how someone could take her mommy's money.

The news of this incident quickly hit Facebook and in less than a few hours over 300 comments were posted about this incident.  Sarah was on Facebook and read Leigh Ann's story and quickly realized she had the same agent and a very similar story....no reservations...trip on June 7th....no return calls from the agent.  Sarah was planning on surprising her 2 and 7 year old girls with this trip, but not now.

Sarah and Leigh Ann started sharing info and found that they actually "purchased" the same advertised trip from the agent with in 30 minutes of one another on April 30.

Turns out the agent has been doing this for years and has quite a police record.  Seems there are many people who have been scammed by this woman.  She steals from the next to pay to past debts.  Luckily for other families, this agent is now is jail and hopefully will stay there for a long time.  However, this means Leigh Ann and Sarah will likely not see their money.

This is why this Go Fund Me page is being set up.  These 2 families want to take their children to Disney in the worst way but now have no way to pay for the trips.  Disney has offered reduced rates because of their situation but they still have no way to pay.  Many, many supporters on Facebook have asked to donate money and this is the safest way to do so.
