I know we've all been there - those moments when we hear news that takes a while to digest and then we feel helpless and need to do *something*.   That's how I felt yesterday when learning that my friend Joel has stage 4 cancer.

I met the Beck Family as fellow cheer parents several years ago.  Their go with the flow attitude and friendly disposition made it easy to become friends and over the last few years with traveling together for competitions, summer camping trips and surprising the kids with ice cream trips (and so much more), I've learned what caring people this family is, and they are NOT the ones to ask for help - they are the ones that always help others.

Cheer family is just that - family.  We support each other through the highs and lows, and the Beck Family is going to need that support.  After being admitted into the hospital last week for pneumonia, it was discovered that Joel has cancer, spread in multiple areas, which at this point chemo will only slow the progression, not stop it. 

I've created this fundraiser because there's so many unknowns, and there's no doubt that this family needs and deserves our help.  THANK YOU for your support, and join me in sending Joel and the whole Beck family so much love and strength as they navigate this challenge.
