Becky and Trevor like to say that they grew old together and then started dating. This is the second time in two years that they’re battling cancer, together. They are a team and their team is a large one! On the best days, there are 5 kids ages 10 to 19, two adults, and one goofy little dog in the house.
Trevor is:
· Loved
· A valued member of the community
· A dad
· A partner
· An artist
· Battling cancer. Again.
Two years ago, Trevor began treatment for throat cancer. For months he underwent a combination of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. With the help of a feeding tube, Becky’s watchful eye, the team at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and a badass desire to stick around for his kids, he was determined cancer-free in September of 2024.
6 weeks ago, on January 29th, Trevor went to the emergency room for what turned out to be a major blood clot in his right arm. Over the course of the next few weeks he was admitted again and the mysterious lumps that he had noticed on his neck were examined, scanned and eventually seen by the right doctors who determined that the cancer had returned. From that point on, things moved quickly and surgery was scheduled to remove the tumors, portions of muscle and vein that had been atrophied by radiation, and a part of his collarbone that is home to a yet to be determined lump.
Trevor will have surgery next Wednesday, March 18th; he will spend up to 2 weeks in the hospital healing after surgery; once he heads back to Eugene, there will be rehabilitation and then, possibly, immunotherapy.
Help support Trevor’s family while he heals and reduce the financial stress so that they can focus on healing and caring for one another.
