Justice for Jacob: Saving Our Forest Sanctuary

Jacob risked his life to protect the Eisner Wetland forest sanctuary, and he shouldn't have had to. The government's lack of ethics and care for our environment and communities led to the destruction of this vital ecosystem. Now, Jacob needs our help to fight for justice after being brutally tackled, arrested and charged with Mischief and Obstruction.

When the government and land development company brought in logging machines to clear the forest, Jacob and other community members locked themselves to the equipment in peaceful protest. They were met with force from the forestry crew and later the police in riot gear. Jacob was hurt, tackled, suffered a concussion, and was arrested.

The fight to protect Nova Scotia’s natural wonders has been long ongoing, but Jacob’s fight for justice is just beginning. Jacob's lawyers are working hard to get his charges dropped, and we need your help to fund his legal battle. Your donation will help ensure that our warrior for environmental justice doesn't fall victim to government corruption and police brutality.
