We found out on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at a 15 week ultrasound, that there was no longer a fetal heartbeat. We had an ultrasound 2 weeks prior and baby was perfectly fine; moving around with a strong heartbeat. We are absolutely devastated and don’t even know how to process this missed miscarriage. Our midwife and OBGYN said it’s a 1-3% chance of happening, so quite rare.
We thankfully have two frozen embryos. At this time though, we cannot afford to do a frozen embryo transfer ($2,300 + $500 – $1,800 for meds.) and that breaks our hearts even more. This whole journey has been such a rollercoaster with more devastation than happiness. We are still struggling to pay off the $16,000 it cost for our IVF round. This all sucks. It all sucks so badly!
If you cannot afford to donate (trust me, we get it!) then please share it! Every little bit helps. All funds will go towards a frozen embryo transfer in the future. Any additional funds will go towards our IVF debt and any upcoming bills (mortgage and car payments.)

Hello! Many of you know that Jason and I have been trying to conceive for over 2 years now. We received devastating news in November that our best chance of continuing our family would be with IVF with ICSI. We decided that we are going to move forward with IVF in February 2022. This comes with a massive price tag ($15-18,000) that will be due fairly soon after we start. The first big expense being the fertility medications.
There is absolutely NO funding available in British Columbia for fertility treatments. Our extended benefits don't cover any of the fertility medications or procedures, so we are reaching out to our friends, family, and strangers for help.
All funds will be used to pay for any and all procedures and medication needed for IVF ICSI as well all of the travel to and from Burnaby and Victoria during the cycle.
We love and appreciate you all so much! It's not easy reaching out and asking for help, but it's our best shot at continuing our family.
