Luke Mertz Medical Recovery Fund

On May 30, 2015, the Mertz families world was turned upside down when their oldest son, Luke, crashed while riding his dirt bike near his home in Cumberland , MD.   Despite wearing the necessary protective gear, the initial impact tore off his helmet, leaving his skull exposed to a hard impact with the ground.  While we don't yet know the extent of this traumatic brain injury, the prognosis for this not quite 16 year-old young man is projected to be months in the hospital and likely countless hours of rehabilitation.  While Luke remains hospitalized with his family in waiting by his side, please donate what you can to defer and offset the doubtless accummulating expense of his treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.   With your support and prayer, we can put the smile back on young Luke's face as he ponders the bright future ahead.  Thank you for taking the time to learn about Luke and for your best wishes for recovery.
