As many of you know from my recent FB posts, I have achieved something I have been working on tirelessly for a couple years now - winning a Grand Championship at a KCBS sanctioned event! A lot of blood ,sweat, tears, and countless hours of research and trial and error including many sleepless overnight cooks made this possible.
As a Grand Championship Winner, I have been automatically entered into the SuperBowl of BBQ competitions - The American Royal in Kansas City on Oct 3rd! This is and has been a bucket list item for me (ask my wife lol). I am very excited about this opportunity to cook with some of the top pitmasters in the world! Only 140 teams are actually chosen out of thousands! And my team, Dante's Inferno, is one of them!
While this is an amazing opportunity and I am planning on going, I don't think it will be financially possible without some help. Honestly, I am not comfortable asking for handouts, actually never had to my whole life! So I am setting up a Go Fund Me with donation levels and gifts for each level. With a $25 donation you will receive a Dante's Inferno Shirt or a bag of my very own delicious Kettle Corn. With $50 you will receive both! With $100 you will receive two tshirts and two bags of Kettle Corn. You can send as much or as little as you want; it can be $5 or $500! Any amount will help! If you are getting a tshirt, please send me your tshirt size. Also include your address so I can send your items to you!
