If you know me, you know this is something I never thought I’d do.

Moon is my baby and truly the light of my life. From the moment I brought her home, she’s had ongoing and serious health issues — chronic gastrointestinal disease, persistent diarrhea, parasites, suspected viral complications, and endless vet visits trying to get answers. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on tests, medications, specialists, and prescription diets just to get her stable.

The good news is that Moon is happy, affectionate, playful, and can lead a happy healthy life .

The hard part is that we’re not done yet.

Her vet has recommended:

• Another abdominal ultrasound

• Another PCR test to make sure we’re not missing anything and to protect the progress we’ve fought so hard for

On top of this, Moon’s food alone costs over $300 a month because she’s on a very specific prescription diet to keep her tummy functioning.

Recently, my life changed in a way I never expected. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and as a result I had to go from working full-time to part-time. Between medical appointments, fatigue, and reduced income, I’m doing everything I can — but I just can’t keep up the way I used to.

I’ve gone through my savings trying to do the right thing. I’ve chosen Moon’s vet bills over everything else. And now I’m facing the impossible decision of choosing between my mortgage and continuing her medical care.

If you know me, you know I would never ask for money. This is me pushing my pride aside because Moon deserves every chance at a healthy life. If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send love, it truly means more than I can say.
