My name is Maddie, and I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my uncle, Patrick, and our entire family. Patrick is a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a great friend. He is currently facing the hardest battle of his life, stage 4 bile duct cancer. He learned of his diagnosis and was suddenly and unexpectedly laid off from his job, all in the same day, leaving him to face both a devastating illness and sudden financial uncertainty.

Despite the odds, my uncle’s fight isn’t about defying the inevitable, it’s about love, purpose, and time. His 9-year-old daughter is his entire world and the reason he continues to push forward every single day. His only wish is to have more time with her: to celebrate more birthdays, share more holidays, and see just a little more of her life unfold.

We are focused on making the time he has left as comfortable, meaningful, and peaceful as possible. It’s not fair for anyone to endure both a life-threatening diagnosis and the heavy financial burdens that come with it. We’re hoping this campaign can help ease those worries, covering treatment costs, living expenses, and giving him the space to focus on what truly matters.

Through it all, he continues to face each day with strength and love, reminding us of what resilience truly looks like.
