Hello family and friends,

I was accepted into the Stanford Summer program and, well, all that you've heard about high tuition costs- it's true. Hence why I am seeking funding to make this new learning opportunity happen.

My program will have a computer science focus to it, I'll be enrolled in 8 credits for an 8 week period. The courses I'll be taking are Client-Side Internet Technologies and Programming Methodology- links to the syllabus for each are below for your access.

I am really looking forward to this program however the financial considerations are a serious and pressing issue. I just graduated from UT and I won't start my fulltime role until after this program. I'm the oldest of 5 and the first to go to college but the next little one is up; my brother is starting college this August. His tuition expenses are eating away at parent's already lean piggy bank. Any and all contributions will be immensely appreciated.

Throughout my four years at UT I was heavily involved with student organizations including the Hispanic Student Business Association, the Management Information Systems Organization, and the Texas Latin Dance groups. I served as a teaching assistant for 5 semesters and kept a strong GPA. I mention all of this as a testimony of my past dedication and drive and a statement of faith towards my commitment to this program.

I intend to make the most out of this opportunity and hope you all can help me get there.
