Help Cover Emergency Medical Expenses :(

Hi everyone! On July 9th I had an accident that resulted in me falling unconscious and laying in a pool of blood. Luckily, first responders quickly arrived and transported me by ambulance to the Emergency Room. Without them I don’t know what condition I would be in.

St. Mary hospital staff quickly assessed me and ultimately determined I suffered a severe concussion. They recommended I would need to take at least two weeks to rest. Thanks to everyone who has checked in! I am now slowly recovering.

Unfortunately, we live in a country that does not guarantee health care for all which leaves many people and families with enormous amounts of debt. I had hoped to spend the two weeks recovering without stress; however, I received the ambulance and hospital bill faster than I have recovered. Our health care system made it a priority to remind me I owed them thousands of dollars.
