Money for single mother in Coma
Donation protected
Joanna and I are not related by blood, but in my heart, she has always been family. We come from the same hometown in Poland and we now both live in New York. On the morning of June 5th 2015, her youngest daughter found her unconscious in her bedroom. Her daughters are only 14 and 16. She just turned 40 in March. They called an ambulance and the local hospital sent for a helicopter to transport her to critical care in Westchester. An MRI detected bleeding in her brain. Joanna had a large blood clot in her brain and her surgery was supposed to last about 4 hours. Beforehand the doctors warned the children that she may not even make it through. She survived a 7 hour surgery and is now in an induced coma. Tomorrow the doctors will try and wake her.. To see how much damage was done to the brain. The brain heals very slowly. People never recover from these cases unfortunately. But, she is strong. She survived the surgery. We pray that tomorrow's results show minimal damage. She will most definitely need therapy and rehab. Lots of love and patience. Everyone loves Joanna. She is the funniest, most full of life, strongest women I have ever met. She is also the best mother any kids can have. They need her back. Please donate anything you can, to cover hospital expenses, therapy, money for the children as she was the sole working provider. We appreciate any help very much. Thank you
