I am Amber John formerly known as Amber Elias, daughter of William Elias from Morenci, AZ. I am desperate to save my son's life. I have watched my child deteriorate before my eyes. He was one of the many who has been held captive to drug abuse, and his cries for help have been ignored. It is time to take action before a life is lost! I have watched the 'grinding wheel' of the judicial system Band-Aid an issue that needs intervention!!!! I do not condone his behavior, and I agree that one should suffer consequences for law-breaking; however, the issues go much deeper. Justin (Boo) has been diagnosed with severe depression. Recently, he started shutting everyone in my family, everyone he loves, out of his life. He admittedly has suicidal thoughts, and based on my research has every tale-tale sign to watch for.
I researched a facility I would like to send him to that is a discipleship program centered on rehabilitation (for safety reasons, I do not want to divulge the name, but send me a PM if you'd like more info on it). They work with young men and teach them how the Word of God gives them a Hope and direction. They also require the children to work with horses and other motivational programs that take kids out of the gutter and develop work ethic, integrity, and how to live a life free from addiction. The mentors in this program do one-on-one daily mentoring, which I find to be what my son needs. This program will work to rehabilitate him and give him a new outlook and direction on life. It is not part of the authorized probation facilities, in other words, they will not help financially.
My son's life is priceless to me, and I will do whatever it takes to make sure he is provided an opportunity for a chance at success, and at minimum, another day to breath.
Donations are welcomed and of course needed; however, if you can't or won't help, I do ask that you pray for God to give him a Hope and direction, if it takes an Acts Chapter 9 experience for him to see it.
