My name is Emily Vera. I am 31 year old single mother of three beautiful children: Landen, Lana, and Lyla; ages 5, 3, and 1.
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in September 2014. During the past 9 months, I have undergone a series of treatments from ultra sounds, a biopsy, lumpectomy surgeries and lymph nodes removed, port placement surgeries for input and removal for chemotherapy, and have been undergoing radiation for the past 7 weeks; five days a week; while following hormonal therapy after completion of radiation.
As you may assume, my medical bills are astronomical. I have been off of work for approximately 6 months, due to these surgeries and treatments.
Any amount in donations I receive will go towards my medical bills and expenses. Remember, no amount is too little and every donation is greatly appreciated .
It's been an emotional, spiritual, and physical ongoing battle but with the support of my kids, family, friends and God by my side, I have almost come to an end with all this and soon will be a survivor.
We all think that this would never happen to us; at least that's what I thought; then one random day something urged me (in my case I believe it was God) to self examine my breasts and there it was... just a lump in the road. ;)
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and God Bless.
Sincerely,
Emily Vera
