Gunshot victim

Hello everyone I'm Angela Smith and I was involved in a drive by shooting on Nov26 2023 on the corner of S. Tryon and Steelecreek at the red light. A complete stranger pulled up beside me and shot me in my thumb, leg, and ring finger. He shot my knuckle off of my ring finger and I'll never be able to bend it again. I have screws in place to hold it together until my next surgery in May. This is absolutely devastating to me and my family! My life changed in a matter of seconds! I've always been a independent person, I've never been on government assistants, I've always worked hard to support my family. Now I'm in a bad situation that I didn't put myself in. I'm about to be evicted because I have to pay for everything out of pocket. I have over 26,000 in medical bills that I'm responsible for because the Supreme Court ruled that no insurance company is liable for any intentional gunshots. So I have no support and my phone is ringing off the hook from bill collectors. I have people depending on me and my granddaughter lives with me and I take care of my parents. I need rehab for my fingers because I can't bend them but I cant afford to go because I've been paying out of pocket. My granddaughter doesn't know we're about to be evicted. I just need help because I don't want to lose everything I worked so hard for!! Im a selfless person! I help the homeless and also help witg giving shoes to less fortunate kids. Now i meed some help!
