Finding out you have metastasised breast cancer is not something you want to hear, especially on New Year's Eve.
I had breast cancer 3 years ago. I had a mastectomy to remove the tumour followed by chemo to clear up any possible cancer cells floating about. After that I thought that was done with and I could move on.
Then suddenly, 3 years later, I have a pain in my side. GP thought it was a gallbladder issue. Two days later I'm told the news I wasn't expecting. The breast cancer is back and has spread to my liver.
There is no cure. It's stage 4.
I will be treated to attempt to shrink the tumour or at least keep it stable.
I have 18 weeks of chemo to go through. After that I'm hoping to do some bucket list items and create memories for my friends & family to hold on to but for that I will need some help.
Any donations are greatly appreciated but if you can't donate please share with others.
If you've got this far then thank you for taking the time to read it.
Life is short, who knows how long I have, hopefully enough to make a mark on the world.
Mimi x
