I’m starting this fundraiser to raise $25,000 to help close a gap that should not exist.

The Gap

> Survivors of abuse often want legal help but don’t know where to turn.

> Many pro bono lawyers are willing to help. > The challenge is that the two sides rarely find each other in time.

What we are building

> A geo-matching App connecting abuse survivors with nearby pro bono lawyers

> Protecting initial privacy while enabling fast, location-based matching

> Non-prejudicial case updates will be posted, once the survivor is confirmed safe

> Community members can opt in for case updates by email/SMS until case closes

How the $25,000 will be used

> $15,000 to build first version of the geo-matching application

> $5,000 for logistics and outreach to build a verified pro bono lawyer network

> $5,000 to build major awareness of the solution in the community
