Hello my name is Steve. My good friends Pat & Dawn need some serious help. I am only writing this because they are proud people. Too proud to ask for help, so I'm asking for them.
Parents to three boys, Patrick, Jace and Brayden, Pat and Dawn have worked hard to provide for them. However, the three boys have seen their mom on deaths door and their father struggle through the great recession.

Now their Dad is out of work, needing two leg braces and a walker, hoping his ruptured quadriceps will heal enough to return to the construction trade. Basically fired for falling off a ladder.
Two days later, they hear their Mom’s cancer is back.
When it rains it pours.
Dawn starts six months chemotherapy treatments to combat stage 4 metastasized colon cancer the first week of February. Last time around Pat was able to shoulder the load. But this time around, things feel different.
A few weeks from now there will be no money. No money for mortgage payments, no money for food and definitely no money for mounting medical bills.
Sure, everyone falls on hard times. We could all use a “hand-out” at sometime in our lives. But I don’t see this as a “hand-out”. I see it more as a life preserver. Someting to bridge the gap until Dawn completes her chemotherapy, or until Pat is healthy enough to work again.
I’m sure Pat will want to punch me in the face when he learns what I’ve done. But at the end of the day I feel better knowing I did something, instead of doing nothing. I just wish I could do more.
Now it’s your turn.
Do good. Feel good.
I appreciate the support.
