We are James Barkley and Nikolas Foster. We are 14 years old and will be heading to Tennessee to compete against other junior teams from across the country. We are reaching out to ask for your help on our road to the BASS Junior National Championship this July.
We both LOVE fishing. We've fished with our dads from an early age and fished in our first bass tournament at age 6. Through the Junior BASS program, we have learned determination, patience, focus, conservation, and sportsmanship. We never give up! We still fish with our dads whenever we can and sometimes compete with the adults in New Hampshire BASS Nation Open tournaments. After school, we ride bikes with friends to local rivers and ponds just to get in a little fishing.
We are very excited about the Junior BASS National Championship because it is an opportunity to fish against the best juniors in the country and showcase our abilities as anglers. We're proud to represent NH at the Championship. We hope that as we improve, we're able to attend college on a fishing scholarship and someday, fish professionally.
In order for us to fish the Championship, we will need to tow a boat all the way to Tennessee and we will need to stay for a week. With our parent's help, we've estimated some of our costs:
Gas $3.25/gal $1200
