Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read our story. This gofundme is for Molly, my 11 year old pitty. As of a few days ago Molly could not use her back end and has been in severe pain. It came out of nowhere and I’m still not sure what happened. After a very expensive vet visit and some diagnostics it was revealed that her hip is luxated (dislocated) and malpositioned, meaning she needs to have surgery asap, otherwise she will continue to be in severe pain and unable to walk. It’s hard to say the cause - could be an injury or it could be joint degradation related to old age exacerbated by an injury. Anyway, all that being said, surgery is expensive and recovery is long. I come to the community to ask for help in this situation because I am not in a fortunate enough position to be able to handle this all myself and I am certainly not ready to say goodbye to my soul dog any sooner than I have to. Any help you are able to provide is so incredibly appreciated on behalf of both myself and Molly. I will be posting a photo of the x-rays as soon as her vet sends them to me.
