Layla, my 18 month old niece was experiencing weakness in her right arm and leg and was taken to the Stollery Children's Hospital for tests. She received a CT scan which identified a mass in her brain. Her MRI confirmed a tumour the size of a mandarin orange. The doctors are 90-95% sure it is cancer. She is having surgery on Tuesday, December 8th.
Her parents, Shanley & Nicole will need to take at least 1-2 months off to care for her during her treatment.
All funds will go directly to Shanley & Nicole to cover living expenses while they're off work caring for their sweet little Layla. 5% of donations will go the funding website, the rest directly to them.
