Luna Saif is a 6-year-old Pomeranian. She is a very sweet pup, usually happy and outgoing. A month ago, Luna dislocated her hip and contracted a severe infection which affected her whole body. We took her to the emergency room where we were given a choice of surgery or a sling. Unfortunately due to our financial circumstances, we had to opt for the sling.
A week later, Luna’s condition deteriorated. She was vomiting and wouldn’t eat. Then she started bleeding from her uterus. We rushed her back to the emergency room where she was diagnosed with a life threatening urine infection. To save her, she needed surgery which would cost over $6,000, which we could not afford. For the rest of the night and well into the morning, we were on the phone with the ASPCA hospital and other veterinary clinics looking for a less expensive option. Eventually we found a hospital that said they would do the surgery for $2,000. While the surgery was successful, there were many complications after the procedure including a blood transfusion. As a result, we now owe $6,300 which we are struggling to pay.
On a positive note, our precious pup is healing and starting to feel better. It saddens me to think that we may have lost her because of our financial issues. Thank you in advance for your help and support. Any amount you can provide, no matter how small will be invaluable to help us settle this debt.
