My entire identity and future are now in the hands of healthcare professionals that I had the privilege of working alongside. As an ICU nurse for 2.5 years, I supported patients and their families during their hardest days. Then, all of a sudden, disaster struck and I was faced with a hardship of my own. 

I love the community that has stepped up and helped support me as much as they can. I appreciate those who have reached out with ideas and encouragement. 

My name is Alyssa Everett. I'm 27. I was diagnosed with High Grade Serous Carcinoma (HGSC) or Stage 3b Ovarian Cancer. It spread EVERYWHERE. My entire reproductive system, appendix, and omentum had to be removed. It has now metastasized to my liver. My dream of having children was shattered. My once healthy body has now declined to skin and bones. However, I'm thankful to still be here. We try to stay as healthy and positive as possible, but some days are better than others. Cancer gave me a new perspective on life, but I need some help in order to get back to doing the things that I once took for granted and actually LIVE it.
